Another plus is the Shadefix shadow management system, formerly OptiTrac Global Peak. SMA also automatically monitors all connected inverters via SMA Smart Connected.

Easy & fast installation

With a compact design and a weight of only 9kg, the Sunny Boy 1.5 is an easy and quick to install inverter. For example, only two screws are required for mounting, without the need for additional mounting brackets. Installation is easy due to the integrated user interface that can be accessed via a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Shadefix

Shadefix, formerly OptiTrac Global Peak, ensures that almost all current inverters from SMA, including the Sunny Boy 1.5, operate optimally even in environments with light to medium shading. This is done without additional components. Shadefix will software power over shadow-covered cells, so they will not suffer from lower yielding cells.

SMA Smart Connected

After installation, the inverter can be activated for SMA Smart Connected and will be automatically monitored by SMA. As soon as any operating anomalies are detected, SMA will inform the parties concerned immediately. If a replacement is required, SMA will automatically deliver it within 1 to 3 days of the fault diagnosis.
