Rapid Shutdown Function

The IQ8-HC micro-inverters come with the Rapid Shutdown function, ensuring compliance with the strictest safety standards. Unlike many string inverters, the IQ8-HC offers a built-in safety switch. This way, the IQ8 micro-inverters meet the strictest safety standards in case of fire hazards.

In situations where the AC power source is interrupted, such as by an AC switch or power outage, the IQ8-HC micro-inverter automatically activates the rapid shutdown function.

Enphase IQ8-HC Burst Mode Technology

The IQ8 micro-inverters are also equipped with Burst Mode technology, an innovative feature that ensures optimal performance even in low sunlight or high temperatures.

Burst Mode continuously analyzes the voltage output during each AC cycle - which, at a 60Hz frequency, translates to 60 cycles per second. Every 1/60th of a second, Burst Mode makes a new calculation to determine the ideal output voltage.

When the solar panels within the system deliver less than 30% of their maximum capacity, Burst Mode comes into action. The Enphase IQ8-HC micro-inverter stores the generated energy in built-in capacitors, ensuring optimal efficiency even in moments of reduced sunlight.

IQ8-HC Features

The Enphase IQ8-HC micro-inverter delivers a maximum power of 380 Watts. Nevertheless, it's possible to connect solar panels with a capacity of up to 560 peak watts because, once the power exceeds 380 Watts, the IQ8-HC will limit it.

The IQ8-HC micro-inverter is compatible with solar panels containing 54 (or 108 half), 60 (or 120 half), and 72 (or 144 half) cells.

One micro-inverter is required for each individual solar panel.
