The Stäubli MC4 female connectors 5.9 - 8.8 mm are specially designed to be used in combination with the solar cables from Athilex. The connector dimensions 5.9 mm and 8.8 mm have to do with the outer diameter of a cable. For the 4 mm² cable the outside diameter is 5.9 mm and for the 6 mm² cable the outside diameter is 6.8 mm.
