This SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, is suitable for a maximum input voltage of 1000V. This version is supplied with a safety unit. The safety unit includes a DC switch. The inverter also uses MC4 plugs, has active cooling by means of a fan and achieves a noise level of 62 dBA. The unit contains two RS485 connections and one integrated Ethernet connection. In addition, wifi is possible if a separate antenna is used.

Communication

In addition to the integrated RS485 and Ethernet connections, a connection can be made via wifi. For this purpose a separate antenna can be purchased. Subsequently, the SetApp mobile application can be used to realise commissioning via a local connection. With a specific card that can be connected, it is also possible to connect to mobile networks, for example. Monitoring is also possible at panel level, so that the entire PV system is transparent.

Security

Both leakage current and arc protection are integrated. Both leakage currents and electric arcs occur to a greater or lesser extent, but in most cases they are harmless. As soon as a person comes into contact with the system and there is a harmful leakage current, the detection will ensure that the system switches off automatically. This shutdown is also the case with dangerous arcs. As soon as these are potentially harmful, the device will shut itself down completely.

For the AC/DC segregation of alternating current and direct current, the inverter has a physical separation, in the shape of a partition.

Safety unit

Supplied with a safety unit. This unit is attached to the underside of the inverter. This adds a two-pole switch to the system, whereby the entire circuit behind the switch can be de-energized. This is because both the zero wire and the phase wire are interrupted.

The SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, has a Type 2 SPD (Surge Protection Device) on both the AC and DC side. This prevents overvoltage, e.g. due to lightning strikes.
