This SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 40kW is suitable for 277/480V grid. The connectors are MC4 and there is a Surge Protection Device (SPD) on the DC side. Integrated are two RS485 ports and an Ethernet connection. Wifi is also possible, but requires a separate antenna. SetApp can then be used to configure and monitor the inverter.

Security

There are standard protection functions in this inverter. Leakage current detection prevents electrocution. Leakage currents always occur to a certain extent, but as soon as a person comes into contact with them, the consequences can be disastrous. The protection ensures that the system shuts down within 20 to 40ms. Arc protection switches on as soon as the system detects potentially dangerous arcs. This prevents damage or, in worse cases, fire. There is an SPD on the DC side. This element protects the system against overvoltage caused by lightning strikes.
